Now entering an international phase, CPB seeks to build global partnerships and secure long-term funding for high-impact advocacy.
We are hiring a strategic, connected Fundraiser to forge relationships with government and intergovernmental bodies like :
- ➤ World Trade Organization (WTO)
- ➤ United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
- ➤ Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
- ➤ European Union (EU)
The Role
This is not a traditional fundraising role. As CPB’s Senior Fundraising Strategist, you’ll work at the nexus of policy, advocacy, and international funding — crafting compelling bids and opening the door to long-term public-sector financing.
You will support campaigns such as:
- ➤ Credit agency reform
- ➤ Public transport fairness
- ➤ Digital market transparency
- ➤ Consumer rights post-Brexit
- ➤ Global supply chain accountability
Key Responsibilities
- ➤ Design and execute a targeted fundraising strategy for:
- ⯈ UK departments
- – Department for Transport (DfT)
- – Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
- – Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)
- – Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA)
- ⯈ Public grant frameworks
- ⯈ Global institutions
- – United Nations (UN)
- – World Trade Organization (WTO)
- – European Union (EU)
- – Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
- ➤ Develop winning proposals and impact-driven concept notes
- ➤ Build strong relationships with senior officials and donors
- ➤ Monitor global funding calls and position CPB to respond early
- ➤ Co-leverage funding through NGO/think tank consortia
Person Specification
- ➤ Proven record securing 6–7 figure public or global grants
- ➤ Strong grasp of public mechanisms (e.g. Horizon, FCDO)
- ➤ Exceptional writing and proposal communication skills
- ➤ Deep understanding of policy advocacy & global development
- ➤ Existing networks in civil society or donor institutions
- ➤ Comfortable engaging at senior and board levels
